You are a leader—who happens to work with students. You are a leader. So imagine absolutely maximizing your leadership abilities in order to flesh out all that God has put in your mind and on your heart?
If you are like most youth ministers, you have been to some good “how to do youth ministry conferences.” We can all attest to the fact that we have come home with some ideas, some models that were going to help us advance God’s kingdom by astronomical proportions—only to find that it was more difficult than we thought to get the ideas inside our notebook to actually happen! It is our contention, at Leaders Summit, that the next great idea is not “out there”—it is inside of you. You have had your ear to the heart of God, and you have received some great counsel. Now it is time to put it into action—and we can help.
We want to invite you to the Un-Conference: The Leaders Summit Youth Ministers Workshop. The question is often asked: “Are leaders ‘born’ or are leaders ‘made?’” In other words, is leadership a talent that you are born with—you either have it or you don’t—or is leadership a discipline that everyone can learn?
The overwhelming answer from the literature on leadership is—LEADERS ARE MADE. Leadership can be learned in a systematic and thorough way. There are practical steps that a leader can take to greatly improve his or her effectiveness. Through Leaders Summit, you will be given those practical tools, the “indispensable leadership skills” to help you craft, then realize, the vision God has birthed in you.
Each of us have found ourselves coming alive in ways that we had not yet dreamed of as a result of our Leaders Summit experience. Our confidence has gone up, our ability to execute a plan has been realized, our ability to develop other leaders and multiply ourselves through them has become a reality. It is our belief that if youth ministers across the nation would focus on developing these crucial leadership skills, we would genuinely witness a dent-the-universe type phenomena. We hope to see you at an upcoming workshop.
Sincerely,
